Direct Deposit enables you to have your entire paycheck, Social Security check or other recurring payments automatically deposited in your credit union account, while Payroll Deduction allows you to have a portion of your paycheck, Social Security check or other recurring payments automatically deposited in your credit union account. This eliminates standing in line to deposit your check or worry about your check being lost in the mail or stolen.
